What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and scripts that help a site remember preferences, keep sessions secure, or understand how pages are used. Some are essential for the site to work; others are optional and only run with your consent.
How we use cookies
We group cookies into three categories. Essential cookies are always active. Analytics and Experience cookies load only after you accept them (or enable them in preferences) via our consent banner.
Cookie categories
Essential
Required for core functionality: security, load balancing where applicable, form protection, remembering your cookie choice, and navigating the site. These cannot be turned off from the banner.
Analytics
Help us understand traffic and usage so we can improve content and performance. When enabled by you and configured by our team, this may include:
- Google Tag Manager (GTM) — a container that can load measurement tags you approve. If GTM is enabled on our site, analytics tags are expected to run through GTM rather than a separate direct GA4 install.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — audience and engagement measurement. Used only when Analytics consent is given and when our settings load GA4 (directly only if GTM is not used as the analytics loader).
Experience
Microsoft Clarity helps us understand how visitors interact with pages (for example session insights and heat maps) so we can improve usability. Clarity loads only when you allow Experience cookies, independently of Analytics.
Google Search Console
We may use a Google Search Console verification meta tag so Google can confirm site ownership. That verification is not audience tracking and is not gated by the Analytics or Experience cookie categories.
Consent banner
On your first visit (and again after your choice expires), a banner lets you accept all optional cookies, reject optional cookies, or manage preferences by category. Non-essential scripts are not loaded until you grant the matching category.
Admin areas under /vc-console are excluded from this public tracking setup.
How long we keep your choice
Your cookie preference is stored in your browser (local storage) for about three months. After that, we will ask again so you can review and update your decision.
Change your preferences
You can update Analytics and Experience choices at any time. Use the button below to reopen the preferences panel, or clear site data in your browser to reset stored consent.
